15th October 2008 - The Challenge Has Been Set!
By kind invitation of Sensei Malcolm Hazelwood of The Way of the Ronin Jujitsu Club, Sensei Steve Pinfold travelled to Essex to undertake a lesson in Kubutan Techniques and the application and uses of pressure points in martial arts. Joined by Sensei Paul Parmenter of the Go Shin Ryu Jujitsu Academy, the class also looked at ground work techniques in response to the proposition of a biannual interclub competition between the three clubs. It is hoped that the first competition will be held in Spring 2008 at Shim’s Way Dojo and will involve both Junior and Adult members of the three clubs. Sensei Hazelwood has kindly sponsored the trophy saying, “I am planning to keep this is Essex!” So the challenge has been set. Lets bring the trophy home!!!
